Daniel Zielinski
Band Director - Middle School

Daniel W. Zielinski holds a State of Illinois Type 10 Music Endorsement for grades K-12. He graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2003 with a Bachelor's degree, and expects to complete a Master in Music Degree in December, 2006. Previously Mr. Zielinski taught Band, General Music, Music Appreciation, Chamber Winds, and Theater at Westminster Christian School in Elgin. He also taught Beginning and Intermediate Band at Covenant Christian School in Aurora. Mr. Zielinski has served as an adjudicator for the IHSA Solo and Ensemble Competition, and is a member of the Illinois Grade School Music Association, the National Association for Music Education, and the International Trumpet Guild.

He currently performs with the Prairie Brass Band, and previously with the Yorkville American Legion Big Band, the Shenanigan's Band, the Northern Illinois University Band, and Waubonsee Community College's Jazz and Commencement Bands. His primary instrument is the trumpet.
